That’s probably a good point. Especially in startups and young companies, the reputation of the founder is frequently the main reason for venture capitalists and other investors to sink their funds into the business. So, firing the founder, even if it’s possible via the corporate procedures of the company, is seen as a death knell for the company itself. Look at Apple. The narrative we always hear is how they fired Jobs, and then he had to be brought back in after the BOD damn near killed the company, and he single-handed it brought it back to life
